Keith Mathias was born and raised in Southern California and has been involved in commercial land development and construction since acquiring his general contractors license in 1984. Keith worked as a project manager for commercial real estate developers that honed his skills in evaluating land for acquisition. He eventually began developing business parks and office buildings throughout Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties. During the economic downturn of the early 1990s, Keith teamed with a partner to open his own residential and commercial mortgage company. When this company sold in 1994, it was producing multiples of millions of dollars worth of loans per month. During this time, Keith became a licensed real estate broker and pursued the acquisition of land for multiple successful business parks; all of which still exist and thrive today.
Over the years KAM & its partners have developed two business parks with numerous build-to-suit buildings, several of which included build-to-suits for FedEx Ground as well as a 40 acre 22 lot assemblage of properties, which accommodate a Wal-Mart and The Annex. Since 2009, Keith has been active in assisting lending institutions with the liquidation of their distressed assets as well as managing the repurposing and development of some of these properties.
As a broker, Keith has Listed and Sold over $32 million of real estate in the past 3 years. He is currently a consultant for Rabobank overseeing their joint venture development of 128 single-family homes at Skytt Mesa in Solvang, CA.
